2015
The Vision Begins
The journey towards pharmaceutical excellence in Myanmar began with the initiation of the Beta-Lactam Facility Project in May 2015 — laying the foundation for world-class manufacturing capabilities at Thilawa Special Economic Zone, Myanmar.
2016
Building the Future
In March 2016, the groundbreaking ceremony of Zifam Pyrex marked a major milestone, followed by the commencement of construction in May 2016 for a state-of-the-art pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
2018
Launch of the Beta-Lactam Plant
On 12th May 2018, the Beta-Lactam Plant was officially inaugurated, establishing Zifam Pyrex’s capability in specialized antibiotic manufacturing and reinforcing its commitment to quality healthcare solutions.
2019
Regulatory Milestone Achieved
The company attained major regulatory recognition with the successful grant of the FDA Manufacturing License and GMP Certificate for the Beta-Lactam Plant — validating compliance with international pharmaceutical manufacturing standards.
2020
Expanding Beyond Borders
Zifam Pyrex achieved its first export milestone with the successful shipment to the Iraq market in early 2020, marking the beginning of its international presence. In the same year, the General Block Facility Expansion Project was initiated in May 2020 to further strengthen manufacturing capacity. Additionally, the company received the Pharmaceutical Manufacturer Registration License from the Ministry of Health (Cambodia) enabling export operations to the Cambodian market.
2024
A New Era of Manufacturing Excellence
The General Block Facility was officially launched in 2024, with the manufacturing license granted in May 2024. This milestone significantly expanded the company’s production capabilities and reinforced its position as a growing pharmaceutical manufacturer in the region.
2025
Advancing Innovation & Quality Excellence
The year 2025 marked a major leap in manufacturing advancement and product innovation for Zifam Pyrex.
The Sachet Packing Line in the General Block was successfully introduced in October 2025, followed by the issuance of the Updated Manufacturing License in December 2025. In addition, the General Block GMP Certificate was granted in November 2025, further validating compliance with international manufacturing standards.
A significant milestone was also achieved with the granting of the ISO 17025 Certification for our state-of-the-art laboratory in November 2025, demonstrating our commitment to precision, reliability, and globally recognized quality systems.
2025 also marked the successful introduction of innovative pharmaceutical products to the Myanmar market:
- Zifam NOVOCID® (Vonoprazan Tablets 10 mg & 20 mg) — Myanmar’s first Potassium-Competitive Acid Blocker (PCAB) — was launched in August 2025, representing a breakthrough advancement in gastrointestinal therapy.
- FINERON® (Finerenone Tablets 10 mg & 20 mg) was introduced in October 2025, expanding access to advanced cardio-renal treatment options for patients in Myanmar.
- Other products, including psychiatric medications, antihypertensives and specialty therapies such as Dapagliflozin and Tofacitinib were also successfully introduced, strengthening our diversified portfolio and commitment to addressing evolving healthcare needs across multiple therapeutic areas.
2026
Expanding Horizons
In March 2026, Zifam Pyrex successfully dispatched its first export consignment to the Cambodia market, marking another important step in regional expansion.
Continuing our journey of innovation and growth, the Biosimilar Plant Project commenced in early 2026, representing the next phase of advanced pharmaceutical manufacturing and reinforcing our long-term vision for the future of healthcare.
